Uses very little oil to cook. Has a digital interface. High temperatures which are achievable in less than a minute. Auto turn off and a 60-minute timer. Sevenpres-set cooking choices.
Now you can cook more amount of items at a time as the new Philips XL Air Fryer comes with an extra-large frying basket which is also very light in weight.. In other words, the air fryer can cook up to 2.65 pounds of food at a time which is approximately equivalent for 4 or more people.. The cooking temperature varies and can be adjustable. Different type of cooking styles like grilling, baking, roasting and frying can be done.
The larger size (obviously) compared to other models such as the Philips HD9230. Easy to use. Automatic shut-off. Cord can be stored in the compartment. Reduced cooking times. Can feed a family of 5 easily. No smelly kitchen. No oil splatter.
The results were very consistent and crispy and the controls are easy to understand and use.
What reviewers didn't like
Bulky, a little heavy and may take some space in your kitchen. Even though it is easy to use, you’ll still have to learn a few things but this is how it is with all air fryers.
The booklet guidelines are not reliable, either: The directions say to cook 4 ounces of chicken breasts at 290 °F for eight minutes and then at 360 °F for six minutes. Unfortunately, 290 °F isn’t a temperature option on this model.
Well, you know what they say – a high-end product comes with a high-end price, and not everyone can afford that.
It is not entirely dishwasher safe. Excess build up of grease may cause the air fryer to produces smoke.
If you purchase the white color Air Fryer, its color is likely to be faded after some time. As the air fryer is quick, it cooks the food faster which sometimes make it difficult to judge when some foods are cooked properly or not. One of the major drawbacks of this particular air fryer model is that the lid is not transparent which makes it difficult to check the browning of food. Accessories need to be purchased separately.
Some reviewers reported smoke coming from the fryer when preparing high fat meat. No accessories includes. Need to be purchased separately. The HD9240 is large, so check if it can fit on your counter-top.
This air fryer was a pain to clean. The wire basket needed to be soaked and scrubbed, and it was not fun.
