Rounded edges on base are vehicle seat friendly. Very easy to attach and detach carrier from base. Euro beltpath routing with anti-rebound handle. Euro design with nice canopy. Lovely design and the appealing, vintage-style stitching.
Base is easy to install. Safe and comfortable (with two cushions). Easy to use without the base when traveling.
One of the rare car seats to include the anti-rebound safety bar on the front (along with the Chicco Fit2, KeyFit 35, and Britax Endeavours), which is now standard in Europe but not yet required in the US. A bit beyond some other car seats on this list, this one has a 32" height limit for babies. And it's beautiful. When you get your hands on it and see its smooth lines, modern patterns, quality stitching work around the edges, and feel its quality fabric and padding, you will realize why people are willing to pay a premium for this seat.
Better crash test results, anti-rebound bar, easy install.

What reviewers didn't like

Relatively expensive. Handle takes extra time and space to rotate back as recommended in the car. Recline level indicator and angle adjustment limit flexibility. Limited stroller compatibility for other brands. Owner’s Manual could be clearer in some sections.
We found that the pricey Peg Perego Primo Viaggio 4-35 had handles that were relatively difficult to shift, a flimsy chest clip, and hard-to-adjust straps.
Needs an adapter to fit into non-Peg Perego stroller bases and not many other brands are available.
We found that in addition to it being a bit cumbersome to carry around, the harness straps tend to spin around and tangle a lot, and some of our moms complained that many of the nice and affordable car seat covers won't fit around the large side impact cushions. The canopy is not very large and the cover is a total pain to remove for cleaning. Finally, it does not have a steel-reinforced frame.
Heavier, harder to install LATCH system, few strollers are compatible.
Expensive. Not compatible with most strollers of other brands. Canopy too close to handle when carrying. Customer service may be lacking if there are problems. Doesn’t leave a lot of leg room for front seat passengers.
Expensive. Difficult to carry when the canopy is fully extended. Not easy to clean.
Hard to clean.
