What experts liked
The Obol bowls are great and enable people to enjoy mouthwatering cereals. Unlike the other dishes that make your cereals soggy, these enables crispy feeling. Additionally, the ingenious spiral design is great for everybody. Due to the divided nature, it is possible to put cereals ad milk at the same time without mixing. The inbuilt grip makes your eating easy. Unlike the broad bases bowls, these come with a comfortable grip bottom. As a result, one can enjoy holding without slipping for amazing moments. Made from quality materials, they are free from BPA and other banned materials. Innovative design and great colours make them ideal for all ages.

What experts didn't like
My issue is this: When I pour my milk into my cereal, I make sure that there is approximately a 40% cereal to 60% milk ratio. It's cool if my cereal is swimming, but the cereal pieces need to be swimming close together. I want to feel the heft of the cereal when I drag my spoon through. If you don't have enough cereal, the movement in the milk actually causes the cereal to disperse.

An Overview On Cereal Bowls

Cereal isn’t just for breakfast. In fact, some people eat cereal for lunch, dinner or even as a snack. If you plow through a family-size box of Rice Krispies every week, though, you probably realize the value of a good set of cereal bowls. You’ll need enough to ensure you won’t run out of bowls while you’re waiting for the dishwasher to fill up so you can run it.

But there’s more to shopping for cereal bowls than you may initially realize. You’ll need a bowl that’s deep and narrow, as well as one that holds the amount of cereal you like to eat. Having one made from materials that hold up to a few accidental drops can also come in handy. The last thing you want is a bowl that shatters into small pieces the first time it falls to the floor.

But cereal bowls don’t just work for cereal. In fact, you can use them for soup, salads, chili, fruit and anything else you’d eat in a bowl. If you plan to heat contents in the microwave with the bowl, make sure you choose one that can withstand the process without getting too hot. Some bowls are even oven-safe.

DYWM Fun Fact

Breakfast has had an interesting evolution since medieval Europe, when people routinely ate only one meal a day. As people began to move toward cities, where they took jobs that required them to report to offices, breakfast gradually became an early-morning daily tradition. Initially, though, this tended to be leftover foods, bread or porridges but breakfast took a more drastic turn as it reached America. In the 1800s, Americans veered toward full meals including meat, potatoes, cake and pie, leading to indigestion and demand for a lighter first meal of the day. James Caleb Jackson first introduced the concept of cereal through a dish he called “granula” in 1863, followed by the much-publicized invention of corn flakes by Dr. John Harvey Kellogg in the 1890s.

The Cereal Bowl Buying Guide

  • Safety-conscious families will justifiably be concerned about chemicals in dishes, particularly if your children will be eating from them. If this is a worry for you, look for cereal bowls that promise a chemical-free design. Some are FDA-approved as safe, offering that extra boost of confidence you may need.
  • Most of the time, your cereal bowls will likely be in the cabinet. Pay attention to how easily stackable your bowls are before buying. Will they take up considerable space or squeeze into your cabinets easily?
  • It can be especially annoying to find that your milk splashes out while you’re trying to eat. For best results, look for cereal bowls with high walls that will prevent such messes.
  • You may not always be eating at the table. Make sure your cereal bowls are lightweight enough that you can hold them while you’re eating cereal or ice cream on the sofa or in bed.
  • The type of material the bowl is made from plays a direct role in its durability. Many cereal bowls are made from porcelain, but this can be prone to breakage and chips. A thicker porcelain bowl could hold up better over the long haul.
  • Eco-conscious consumers now have plenty of choices. Bowls made from materials like wheat straw fiber are an environmentally-friendly alternative and offer benefits like being easy to clean and helping your cold milk hold its temperature.
