What reviewers liked

Setting it up is very easy - we just plugged it into a wall socket and used WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) to connect our test router to the extender by just clicking the WPS button on each.
On a budget but want an effective WiFi extender? This is worth a look. The addition of an Ethernet port for directly attaching wired devices such as video game consoles is a plus.
Works as it should - acts as a repeater for your weak wi-fi signal. The only catch is that you should have a plug point almost half way between your present router and where you get low range. Easy to setup. Needs restarting every few days but other than that, no issues

What reviewers didn't like

It can be complicated to set up on older hardware
Bought the range extender to enhance the WiFi access in my house. After doing a lot of research (since I'm not a IT person, I needed to do the research on my own), I decided on this product, the WN3000RP. Right from delivery there were issues, and it took almost 3 weeks for the delivery. The product is simple, very easy to install, and even I could install it quickly without hassles. Somehow it just did not work. Despite resetting and re installing it any number of times, it just wouldn't work. My device showed good range, an excellent connection to the main router, but the net just wouldn't come alive. I have been despondent since,as it is a very frustrating situation to be in. The NETGEAR customer care was a nightmare, and the less said about it the better. Would I recommend this product? Since it did not work for me, I wouldn't.
