In terms of design, the Ultra-Stick is made to be compact, lightweight, and ergonomic. Weighing only 2.15 pounds, it certainly is a perfect alternative to countertop blenders. The handle is very smooth and comfortable to grip, and you can easily access the control settings which are just a few inches from your fingertips.
- Pulse Gulfcoast
The grip is convenient to use, and the weight of the heavy duty motor didn’t feel at all.
- Parent Prime
The Mueller Austria is an easy to hold, silver hand blender that comes with the blender, a whisk, and a manual. The device has a fixed, S-shaped motor and rotor designed to accurately blend mixes while eliminating chunks and keeping frostings and creams soft and delicious.

- Kitchen Sanity
The grips on this hand mixer will surely secure your fingers from slipping and can continuously blend while your hands just sit back and hold the handle with ease. The full copper motors can prolong the usage 3 times better than its competitor's motors can, making it an asset of the product.
- JosephineDC
One reason why the Mueller Ultra-Stick Powerful Multi-Purpose Hand Blender has topped in the leader-boards for the best immersion blenders is the powerful motor. Designed with first-grade copper materials, this 500-Watts motor offers continuous operation while still withstanding the heavy-duty blending tasks within the kitchen.
- Kitchen Lola
This product has a sophisticated design that comes with excellent grips that offers a non-slip and comfortable grip, which enables the user to use the product efficiently
- Cookware Stuffs
The motor feels stronger than the 500 watts that is advertised, perhaps a result of the good sharp blade. This makes it possible to use the Ultra-Stick 500 as an immersion blender, creating things like vinaigrette and oil-based sauces. We particularly like the buttons on this bottle.
- Daring Kitchen
Along with the strong motor comes and comfortable non-slip grip, so you won’t send kale smoothies splattering across the kitchen.
- The Spruce Eats
Mueller avails the most versatile immersion blender for various mixing, blending, frothing and many more. The blender features a 500W powerful motor that provides maximum torque for demanding frothing and blending. With a brushed steel finish and durable copper motor, the blender can withstand any demanding task.

They are detachable for you can wash them at ease.
- Best Reviews Today
Owing to the compact size and not being overly heavy, it’s much more convenient than a traditional blender which is normally bigger and bulkier, taking up more space. Thanks to the 2 available pushbuttons (on/off and turbo mode), easy operation is guaranteed, and a vast amount of food can be easily blended whether you are using the blender as a chopper, grinder or mixer.
- Healthy Kitchen 101
As it is smaller in size as compared to a countertop blender, there is enough room to provide multiple tasks. It can also be easily stored in the cupboards.
- Prime Shop Kitchen
This hand blender offers a secure and comfortable grip, especially when you want to blend for hours. The non-slip handle is smooth and soothing, especially when blending for long periods. Something else, the control settings are right next to your fingertips to ensure the perfect blending experience.

Durable – pure stainless steel blade helps blending your ingredients within glance of eyes.
- Best Hand Blender
What experts didn't like
The beaker quality is not enough.
- Best Advisor
The Mueller immersion blender is very powerful but it can quickly become a hazard. The power of the motor can quickly make a mess of a perfectly good smoothie or soup mix and can even make the blender want to stick to the bottom of the mixing cup.
- Cleanway
It can’t work for frozen liquid and food ingredients.
- Authority Toplist
Due to its design, it can be quite delicate, thus you have to take care not to break the handle while blending.
- Pulse Gulfcoast
Cord length is comparatively short.
- Parent Prime
Although the Mueller Austria seems like a good investment, it does break easily. One of the biggest problems is the blade detaching itself into the food being blended. While this would normally be covered by the warranty, the manufacturer often claims the damage isn’t covered because it must have been used improperly.
- Wife Knows
Not as durable as expected, but the customer service is excellent.
- A Guide Product
Noises may be heard when working.
- JosephineDC
This hand blender is quite delicate so care must be taken to avoid breaking the handle when blending is in progress.
- Kitchen Lola
The hard edges of the blade guard are more of an issue, however. Be careful if you are using the Ultra-Stick 500 with a non-stick surface as some light scratching is possible.
- Daring Kitchen
Inconvenient cord.
- Healthy Kitchen 101
For speed adjustment, both the hands are required and this makes the blending process quite uncomfortable.
- Prime Shop Kitchen
Can be heavy due to stainless steel build.
- Your Kitchen Time
You cannot use the “Turbo” button longer than 1 minute.

An Overview On Immersion Hand Blenders

Have you ever wanted to puree a hot or cold concoction and found yourself without a means to do it? That is where an immersion blender comes in handy. They offer a convenient way to puree ingredients without having to transfer them to a stand mixer or big blender. Let’s take a closer look at how they work to help you find the best immersion blender for your needs.

Simplemost Media

Although it is labeled blender it is more like an electric mixer. It is handheld and looks like a wand. On the very end, it has blades that, when activated, blend ingredients together. You will want to start your immersion blender on the lowest setting when initially submerging it into the food, so the ingredients don’t explode all over your kitchen. Increasing the speed will help to mash larger chunks of food. Although they are powerful, they are not intended to use on ice or hard solids. Mostly, immersion blenders are used for soups or other liquids.

Why not just use a regular blender for pureed foods? An immersion blender really takes the danger and difficulty out of pureeing soups, sauces and other hot recipes. You really should not be transferring hot foods and liquids into a blender to puree them. It is difficult to do without spilling and splashing and causing a burn. This is when you want an immersion blender handy.

If you hate cleaning up after dinner, you won’t have to dread washing the immersion blender. Most of them come apart into pieces and you can easily clean them once apart. In fact, some manufacturers have started making their individual pieces, dishwasher safe for the utmost convenience.

Simplemost Media

There are several features to consider when buying an immersion blender. With the Mueller Austria Immersion Hand Blender, you will find the nine different speeds are nice to have to keep things from getting messy. The KitchenAid 3-Speed Hand Blender features multiple attachments including the chopper and whisk in addition to the blades so you can do everything with your hand-held. For a sleek appearance and a variety of colors, Cuisinart Smart Stick 2-Speed Hand Blender is the one for you. And for a beautiful red wand, the BELLA Hand Immersion Blender will impress the chef in your life. From function and attachments to style and color, immersion blenders are truly a personalized product that will help make your cooking life a little easier.

DYWM Fun Fact

The immersion blender was patented in 1950 by Roger Perrinjaquet as a “bamix.” This was a portmanteau of “batere et mixe,” which means “beats and mixes” in French. He sold his patent to a manufacturer in 1954 who produced their own version of the blender. It wasn’t until the 1960s that it was put to use in professional kitchens.

Although immersion blenders are thought of for soups and sauces, they work miracles on lumpy gravy, blending pancake batter, homemade mayonnaise and whipped cream.
