Expert Reviews

What experts liked

Works well in cooler weather. Model comes with starter hickory chips. Good insulation. Holds internal temperature well. Moderate price for a decent product. Provides a good flavor on the meat.
Users’ experiences are great with this product, and they say that the taste is more intense cooking in this digital electric smoker. This one has a reliable and durable build quality with enough space inside.
Literally plug in, load, set, and go. Handsome black finish. You can fit 2 turkeys, 4 pork butts, 4 racks of ribs, and 6 chickens at one time. Control your cooking temperature and time by just touching buttons on the panel. You can add wood chips without opening the door.

What experts didn't like

This model doesn't seem to hold up in the weather as well as other Masterbuilt models.
Some complained about not being able to see the control panel readings under direct sunlight, but that is a minor issue. A real issue was reported by several of the customers, which stated this machine has a severe problem with the thermostat.
It does not have wheels, and sits low to the ground. It does not come with a meat probe installed on the unit. It does not come with a cover. Being that the digital control panel is on top of the smoker, it could be damaged in wet weather.
