Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

This set is the perfect addition for someone with limited space in their kitchen or isn’t looking to satisfy more than two people. The three different mugs/cups give you a couple of options of content size.
The blender is one of the smallest and compact blenders in the market. At just 9 inches tall, the small footprint makes the model great for people who live in small apartments.
Very compact (12 inches tall with cup x 4.75 inch diameter) and fine for small food prep and simple blending jobs.
The Magic Bullet is a breeze to set up. It comes with several different blender cups and lids for sealing and storing.
We found that it performed really well when blending leafy greens with no leakage, and with its affordable price point, it’s a great buy for those who are shopping on a budget.
You can drink your smoothie right from the jar, and this convenience is one of the major factors in the Magic Bullet’s favor.
Another advantage is how simple it is to use. You don’t have to choose between mysteriously-named settings – Puree, Blend, Crush. There’s just one setting.
Comes in your choice of green, red, or silver finishes. 300W of power. Easy to clean, and dishwasher safe. 11-piece set includes 3 different kinds of cup, lids, and recipe book. Easy to use.
Comparatively, this blender is better than average, and for the price and functionality, this is our best value choice.
This Magic Bullet Blender is great for one person or single serves.

What reviewers didn't like

The biggest complaint about the MBR-1101 is, as expected, power. Many have pointed out that it has trouble mashing up frozen fruits let alone normal sized ice cubes.
The 250 watt motor can limit the performance when blending smoothies or purees. In our blending tests, the Magic Bullet struggles with fibrous vegetables, nuts, some food prep, and thicker recipes that don’t have much liquid.
We were only able to fit about five strawberries and a very small handful of spinach before we felt like we were overfilling the 18-ounce blender cup.
However, the design is rather compact, meaning it produces smaller smoothies when compared to other models.
However, the biggest fault of the Magic Bullet, namely its lack of motor power, will prevent you from making some of the delicious things described in the recipes.
We put this blender to the ultimate test: a blended drink with big ice cubes. Our old blender struggled with this, leaving shards of ice and big chunks in any iced drinks we tried to make.
Some claims that it doesn't work well for ice, frozen fruits, or other harder items. Some reports of leaks or blender dying within a few months.
The motor is powered by 250 watts and may struggle if overloaded. I
This Magic Bullet motor is 250 Watts. I find this adequate for smoothies and purees.
