What reviewers didn't like
No rubber studs or slip resistant material at bottom of the base to prevent movement when in use. Needs to be soaked in water for at least 10 minutes before use. Prone to chipping and breaking, fragile stone.
Comes with a Japanese instructional booklet. Quite expensive.
Instructions are all in the Japanese language. Not much beginner-friendly as there are lack of guidelines.
Stone might be too soft for some knives. Not ideal for serrated knives. Does not include angle guide. Instructions are in Japanese.
