What reviewers didn't like

Some parents noted differences in temperature readings from ear to forehead. This problem is even more pronounced with high fevers. Batteries don't last long, and it's a bit pricey.
You cannot turn off the beep.
This is our second best digital thermometer because of one tiny flaw on the printed instructions manual which could be easily solved by reading the reviews or reaching out to their customer service.
Extensive guide for some users
May get varying temp readings
Some people feel that the consistency changes as the thermometer gets old.
Sometimes, this thermometer gives different readings on same individual.
Does not provide an option to switch off the beep sound
Not quite as versatile or easy to use as our higher-ranked thermometers, though it does fit nicely in the hand and do a nice job with forehead temperature readings.
No Backlight: The display doesn’t come with a backlight. So it’s hard to read in a dark room.
If you’re using the ear mode, be sure to pull your little one’s ear back and up and aim gently at the eardrum area—it’ll make for a much more accurate reading.
The high fever alert cannot be switch off when fever is detected
It might get a little inconsistent as it ages
Though this thermometer can be used for all ages, it cannot be used rectally, which is the most accurate method if your baby if younger than three months.
This is one of the more expensive options available.
No guidance on temperatures , IRT6520 and many of others thermometers can show you tips to help you understand the reading (color coded Green-Yellow-Red or different beeps).
The only factor that I believe makes it the 2nd best forehead and ear thermometer, is that it might not be as reliable as the Innovo, as some users have found a slight retardation in its working between two consecutive readings.
One issue with this thermometer and others like it is that there’s no option for a silent mode when using it.
Accuracy reduces over time
If you don’t take care of the product in an accurate manner, it will not give accurate measure
No pre-warmed tip for a better accuracy
