What reviewers liked

Features a lightweight design that is compatible with a tablet or cell phone.
This makes setup easy because you don’t have to load a cartridge; you simply open the tray and drop in the paper.
You can slap funky stickers all over your pictures before printing, as well as captions and other editing tools that should elevate your smartphone selfies above their usual standard.
The HP Sprocket Photo Printer ($129.99) is a tiny, cute, and convenient photo printer designed for printing from a smartphone or tablet.
HP's Sprocket Photo Printer lets you show your work to the world quickly, easily and with a little fun.

Thankfully, since HP has adopted the widely used Zink technology, you'll have plenty of paper options to choose from and little risk of buying into a dead-end proprietary format.

The HP Sprocket app is a bit more polished as well compared to the other printer apps.
The Sprocket is also roughly the size of a smartphone and weights a mere 6 ounces, allowing it to fit just about anywhere.
HP along with the printer, is also offering specially designed HP ZINK papers for printing.

What reviewers didn't like

It's somewhat expensive, but it has a lot to offer for the price.
The paper is a little expensive, especially for such small prints.
Print costs are high.
Zink paper is only available in a limited range of sizes, and the Sprocket exclusively uses 2-by-3 wallet-size sheets with a peel-off sticky back.
Print quality through the Zink "Zero Ink" technology is just average; I could see lines in most prints and colors are muted.
-
But, one thing that really bugged me about the HP Sprocket is that the image quality is occasionally kinda bad.
- Wired
The photo paper is packaged in 10 sheet packs and probably has some sort of coding that won’t allow you to use other types of ZINK paper that are marketed for other brands of printers like the Sprocket.
