Expert Reviews

What experts liked

The next up on the list is HORI Racing Wheel One, perhaps the best steering wheel for budget oriented people and you know what else is amazing about this one? It is actually officially certified by Microsoft to be used with the Xbox One.
It has 270 degrees of turn, with a quick change to 180-degrees if you wish. You only get two peddles, and there's no stick shift, but they're fully-sized with customizable sensitivity. Toss in an adjustable deadzone, a nice design, and grippy rubber where you need it, and this becomes a solid choice for a budget wheel.
It is an official licensed Microsoft unit that gives an authentic racing simulation.
It Gets The Job Done: When one of the positive things I say about a piece of hardware is that it works, you know I am reaching for nice things to say.

HORI Racing Wheel Overdrive is officially licensed by and for use on the Microsoft platform. It is a full-size racing wheel with pedals which are optimized for the production of authentic racing simulations. With this steering wheel, it is possible to attain some 270° turn radius courtesy of the numerous adjustable output options.

HORI Racing Wheel One is one of the budget-friendly Xbox One steering wheel licensed by Microsoft. HORI is very popular for Nintendo Wii U controllers inspired by the classic GameCube controller. You get HORI Racing Wheel One for Xbox One the in just $61.
The racing wheel has an enormous turn radius of 270 degrees, allowing you to easily turn almost full circle and tackle those sharp corners as smoothly as possible.
The clamps are sturdy, and because there is no FFB, it does a good job by offering a stable anchor point to use your wheel.
This is a budget friendly option for anyone looking to purchase an inexpensive racing wheel for the Xbox One. I think this wheel is a great starter wheel for kids or adults that are really casual racers and don’t need all the fancy options higher priced wheels offer.

What experts didn't like

Despite being a solid offer for 80 bucks, there are some things about the HORI Racing Wheel One that you wouldn’t like; the exclusion of force feedback is a big no for a lot of gamers, and the only mounting system that is being offered by the steering wheel uses suction cups in order to have the unit stick on a surface.
Not work with Xbox 360
The strong connection I feel with the road with other wheels is completely absent here. It's a cold and sterile experience. Yes, I have a wheel, but what does it real mean?

Well, this Xbox One steering wheel doesn’t have any support for force feedback or vibration and not worthy for those who are playing Forza Motorsports.
The HORI racing wheel is only compatible with Xbox One so you won’t find it of much use if you have an older Xbox or a PC.
There are several aspects of this wheel that keep it from being a top-flight racing wheel like the 270-degree steering angle and the lack of clutch with the pedal set.
It feels really small in your hands and the lack of any type feedback standout immediately. It feels plastic and cheap, not to suggest it would break easily, just it feels like a kids toy in your hands.
