An ideal choice for any homeowner who wants to take the fuss out of deep cleaning their carpeting. Its automatic operation means you simply push it back and forth over the carpet like a vacuum to remove deeply embedded dirt and grime.
A large tank and long cord mean you can clean uninterrupted for long periods.Great at stain removal.
The head of the vacuum cleaner is lower than average, so it can get under the edge of most furniture. The carpet cleaner head is wider than average, coming in at 12 inches.
This is one of the most advanced residential carpet cleaners I've seen. The SmartWash+ is not just good, it's awesome. It does almost all the work automatically. You simply need to push it forward to clean, and pull backwards to dry the carpet. The product senses the movement and acts accordingly.
The Flex Force Power Brushes get right down into the deepest fibers and remove all the dirt effortlessly. This carpet cleaner is great for pet owners, removing pet hair, stubborn dirt and odors. Then, when you pull the carpet cleaner backwards, toward you, it automatically dries the carpet with a blast of super-heated air.
I like using this machine because it eliminates guesswork and is as easy to use as a vacuum cleaner. Plug it in, turn it on, and clean your carpet without measuring solution or changing settings.
What reviewers didn't like
This left a little too much water in the carpets. Expensive.
Do not use this on Berber carpet. It will ruin the rug. In fact, this carpet cleaner shouldn’t be used on tall, thick carpets because you cannot adjust the vacuum head height.
The lack of manual detergent control means you cannot increase the amount to remove stubborn stains. Small clean water tank which requires you to refill it now and then.
It does not, however heat the water for you. So I’d recommend filling the water tank with warm water and make sure that it clips into place correctly. This may take some getting used to because it’s not always easy to see if this done.
The Smartwash could be better at taking water out of carpets, which may result in a slithgly longer drying time.
