What experts liked

Offers two times the cleaning power of other lightweight carpet cleaners. The PowerSpin Brush Roll isn’t just designed for removing deeply embedded pet hair either -- it has antimicrobial protection to kill bacteria and germs too. The HeatForce feature also means faster drying, so you don’t have to worry about keeping the kids and pets off the carpet all day.

We were impressed by how well this little machine—which only has about a 10-inch cleaning path—combatted pet grime and dog hair. Each time we used it, we noticed a significant amount of pet hair had been sucked up into the tank, and there was a noticeable color difference between the carpet we’d shampooed versus the area that still needed to be cleaned.
- The Spruce
A compact and lightweight carpet cleaner that performs superbly. It made shampooing carpets such an easy task and one that every member of the family could carry out. The reason is that apart from being lightweight, it offers no challenges to operate.
- Vacuums Guide
At 12.5 pounds and about 15 inches wide, the powerful yet lightweight device is easy to maneuver and store when it’s not in use. It uses a power-spin pet brush to remove messes and allergens, and its heat-force technology allows for quick drying.
- Better Homes & Gardens
This had the highest scores for maintenance and ease of use. You don't even have to measure out soap. You fill the tank to the water line, and then add soap until it reaches the soap line, and you're ready to clean. Tasks like emptying the tank were also easy.
- Top Ten Reviews
The concept of this model is to give users an ultra-lightweight carpet cleaner to deal with high traffic and pet stains on a daily basis. Therefore, the machine is constructed with the most crucial features and technologies, to keep the weight similar to a portable device.

What experts didn't like

There is a downside to that small tank, though. A half-gallon tank may be enough for small pet messes and spots, but it ran out quickly when we tried to clean large areas. We had to refill the tank three or four times to clean all of the carpet in an average-sized room. That could become time-consuming if the goal is to clean a large surface area.
- The Spruce
The power cord is short, which is not convenient if your home is large. Low capacity tanks that require you to either fill or empty them frequently.
- Vacuums Guide
Everything was in smaller proportions for this machine, including the cord., which was only 10 feet long – shorter than any other. You will have to constantly find a new plug on bigger jobs. The tank also is small, holding only 2 quarts where others hold up to four. The cleaning path also was noticeably small, at 10 inches.

An Overview On

Carpets and rugs help your home look cozy and inviting. They can pull the room together, add a pop of color and showcase your interior design style. However, it’s important to keep rugs looking clean so that they don’t affect your allergies and keep your home free from germs. Dirt from shoes, environmental pollution and pet dander can all seep into rugs, as can spills and stains from food and drinks. A stained rug can ruin the look of your room entirely.

There are many different types of rug cleaning products available that you can try. Some rug cleaning products are a powder form which you sprinkle onto the rug. The powder can help to remove certain kinds of dirt and stains and is then vacuumed up. You can also use rug foams and shampoos to wash the rug or spot clean to get out stubborn stains. Sometimes these will need to be rinsed with a wet rag while other types will need to be vacuumed. There are specialty carpet cleaning brushes also available that are designed to help you scrub out stains and dirt from your rugs.

The Buying Guide

  • When you’re getting ready to clean your rug, always begin by vacuuming it well to get rid of any lose dirt, debris and crumbs. This will make it easier to see where the stains are.
  • Before using any kind of rug cleaning product on your carpet, be sure to spot test it in a corner area or a section of the rug that is typically under furniture. You want to make sure the carpet cleaning product will not damage your rug in any way, so it’s best to test it on in an area that isn’t front and center. Always read the instructions on the type of rug cleaning product to make sure it’s right for your kind of carpet.
  • Spot clean the area with any stains using your rug cleaning products. Be sure to let the rug fully dry before walking on it or placing furniture on it. Let it dry right side up flat on the floor. Once the top is dry, flip it over and let the bottom dry as well. Then you can flip it again so it’s right side up and style your room as needed.
  • If scrubbing or washing your rug has flattened out some of the threads and fibers, you can fluff them back out by vacuuming them. The suction of the vacuum will help pull out the flattened areas of the rug.
