What reviewers didn't like

It’s not the most powerful fan we tested.
However, there is no build in handle for an easy pickup.
You can only set the timer to 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours. It would be better if you could set it to something in between.
This is not a fan that we would recommend for bigger rooms though, as according to many buyers, the air flow is not strong enough to do that.
This fan provides good circulation, but, only for a small to the average sized room.
- Medium
While the Honeywell HYF290B Quietset is overall quite good, there are a few drawbacks starting with the base, which is not as sturdy or solid as it should be. This can cause the fan to wobble a little when it starts to gain speed. The LED control panel is a little bright, so you have to manually cover it when you’re sleeping or it will keep you up.
- Bustle
Some users complained that it produces a weird noise. It doesn’t produce as much air circulation as some users expected.
-
No half-hour choice on timer (1, 2, 4, 8 only).
The timer can be a bit off sometimes.
Unfortunately, the remote control of this quiet tower fan can’t manage the lighting or timer function.
