Lastly, there is a nice temperature gauge that makes it easy to see the temp and there’s even an automatic timer, which will shut the fan after a set amount of time, up to eight hours.
The Honeywell Fresh Breeze Tower Fan with Remote Control is a tower fan that literally has it all. Remote control with built-in flashlight, fully programmable adjustable thermostat, with oscillating action, superior power, and a programmable timer all inset in an attractive LCD display.
This allows you to personalize the sound and cooling power of the fan. And its oscillation function distributes air across the room very evenly. It doesn't produce the extremely powerful air flow that some other models do, making it better for use in small or medium rooms.

What experts didn't like

It’s not the most powerful fan we tested.
However, there is no build in handle for an easy pickup.
You can only set the timer to 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours. It would be better if you could set it to something in between.
This is not a fan that we would recommend for bigger rooms though, as according to many buyers, the air flow is not strong enough to do that.
This fan provides good circulation, but, only for a small to the average sized room.
- Medium
While the Honeywell HYF290B Quietset is overall quite good, there are a few drawbacks starting with the base, which is not as sturdy or solid as it should be. This can cause the fan to wobble a little when it starts to gain speed. The LED control panel is a little bright, so you have to manually cover it when you’re sleeping or it will keep you up.
- Bustle
Some users complained that it produces a weird noise. It doesn’t produce as much air circulation as some users expected.
-
No half-hour choice on timer (1, 2, 4, 8 only).
The timer can be a bit off sometimes.
Unfortunately, the remote control of this quiet tower fan can’t manage the lighting or timer function.

Overview

Bladeless fans may be a bit pricier than their bladed counterparts, but they bring plenty of benefits. The design itself makes it a conversation piece. Chances are, some people you know have never even seen one in person. But there are plenty of other great reasons to choose a bladeless fan for your home or office.

Safety is one of the top reasons. If you have little ones around, a fan with blades can add stress you don’t need. If someone sticks a finger or an object in the areas where a blade would normally be, on a bladeless fan, it’s completely safe.

When it’s time to clean dust and debris from your bladeless fan, it’s far easier than with a fan with blades. You don’t have to work around those blades, after all, which makes it a breeze. However, some bladeless fans tend to attract dust and potentially create more work for you.

Once you move beyond the bladeless aspect of a fan, many of the same features you expect from any fan apply. Some fans oscillate, cooling off a bigger area, while others are set up only to blast air directly. But even with oscillating fans, it’s important to check blowing power to make sure you’ll get the force you need if you’re trying to cool a large room.

If you’re using your fan in a bedroom or other living space, a remote control can come in handy. One thing to look for is whether you’ll have all the controls you need on the fan itself. Some fans put all the controls on the remote, which leaves you unable to adjust settings if you misplace it.

Timers also come with many bladeless fans. With a built-in timer, you can set your fan to work for a specific time period, then automatically shut off. This might be good if you use your fan to help you fall asleep at night, but you want to conserve energy by having it shut off once you’ve drifted off.
