Thanks to DDR4's higher-density modules, up to 64GB of RAM can be installed with all four slots populated. Gigabyte uses slots with locking mechanisms on only one end, which can make life easier when swapping DIMMs in crowded cases.

The board is powered by thunderbolt 3 controller that brings a whopping bandwidth of 40Gb/s. The AMP-UP audio technology is the best in the industry and provides crystal clear audio with realistic effects while gaming. The USB3.1 controller offers high data transfer speed of 10Gb/s.
- IT 4 Next Gen

A couple of features stand out here. First, there’s not one, but two M.2 slots, letting you install two super-fast SSDs, or one SSD and one of some other peripheral. In addition to that, if you want to jump on the SATA Xpress bandwagon, you’ll be able to hook up a total of three drive configurations (which would be 6 drives total.)

What experts didn't like
Audio performance doesn't quite match similarly priced boards.
- BestReviews

Voltage accuracy when overclocked could be better. No WI-Fi Which Every Board Should Have. Only six USB ports on rear IO
- Tech Spot
EFI could use a good fan-tuning utility to cater to Linux users or those who don’t want to deal with it in their OS.
