Expert Reviews

What experts liked

This UL-listed pressure cooker has patented safety features that make it easy to use. A blue indicator rod on the lid has two settings, 10 psi and 15 psi.
There is a locking mechanism indicator light which switches from red to green once the handle is securely locked in place and the lid is in its rightful position. This prevents any guesses and thus makes it a safe cookware.
Its pressure settings are the easiest to read and the lid slides onto the pot the most smoothly of all the competition.
It’s made of stainless steel, works with all types of ranges, and has a limited lifetime warranty.
The Fissler Vitaquick comes with several safety features that keep the pot from over-pressurizing and exploding, a problem which would occasionally happen with old-fashioned models.
Available in sizes from 2.7 quarts to 10.6 quarts. "Cookstar" base for even heating. Heavy-duty, high-quality stainless steel construction. Safety features include auto-locking and an automatic pressure valve. Comes with an additional glass lid top. Easy to clean. High and low pressure indicators.
The pot itself is designed to be wide rather than tall which gives you more of a browning and saute surface and also makes it easier to see into the pot.

What experts didn't like

The Fissler Vitaquick Pressure Cooker may be expensive compared to many stove-top models
It does not suit a large family because of its limited capacity
Though we absolutely love this cooker, we admit that the price is prohibitive for many folks.
This is a heavy pot — and I mean heavy — on its own. (Which, when you think about it, is really good: flimsy in not the word you would want associated with your pressure cooker!)
On the expensive side. Some buyers report that this cooker came with wrong or missing parts.
Expensive
