What reviewers liked

Setup is just as easy as all of the other Wi-Fi mesh systems, using a free Eero app for iOS and Android phones. Just install the router, update its firmware, give it a name and password – and you’re good. Then, adding a Beacon is just as simple, and you can add more than the box includes, should you need to expand the network later.
The Eero Wi-Fi system can create a large seamless Wi-Fi network with reliable internet access. The hardware is well designed, easy to use and you can use Amazon Alexa to pause internet, locate a connected device and control a few settings of the system.
-
The Eero is similar to the Google Wifi system, which also uses a dual-band 2x2 SU-MIMO configuration. The Eero had a more powerful radio than the Wifi when used as a single-point router
Mesh networking lets you add more Eeros to build a bigger network and can create a large seamless Wi-Fi network with reliable internet access.
We gave Orbi the nod for its slightly easier setup and placement and lack of dependence on the cloud

What reviewers didn't like

Eero Wi-Fi is the most expensive of its kind on the market. Its creators have taken great pains to make that entry price worthwhile, and it shows in the product.
The system is expensive (even for mesh network gear), not fast enough for bandwidth-heavy local tasks and has minimal features.
-
The Eero devices don't work terribly well as a mesh-router system. That's a problem that could be mitigated by a future firmware update.
Not fast enough for bandwidth-heavy local tasks and expensive.
If you’ve got a longer or taller house, are more interested in parental control and security filtering features, or just plain like Eero’s looks better, it’s a great pick too.
