Expert Reviews

What experts liked

In multiple tests, these pants have held up tried and true. Take them hiking, camping, bouldering, scrambling and wherever you would like. There’s no disappointment in their activity level. Equipped with a stretchy material and Freeshare 50+ sun protection, they are made to face the elements. With articulated knees and notching back fabric bulk in the calves, they turn otherwise complicated maneuvers into an easy step of comfort.
My raft proved to be a bit tricky to get into which resulted in a rather wet backside. Luckily for me the Nylon/Spandex fabric of the Guide Pro Pants is fast drying. Once safely on the other side of the lake I had a very long and steep hike ahead of me. I climbed small cliffs, jumped from boulder to boulder, crossed trees, and navigated aspen groves. There was nothing that these pants could not handle.
No disappointment in the activity level of Guide Pro Pants equipped with two-way stretch and Freeshare 50+ sun protection. By articulating knees and notching back fabric bulk in the calves, the pant turns vertical endeavors and twisting maneuvers into protected comfort. And the odor-control waistband added up to longer, fresher wear through slurping oceans and spinning down tide-induced whirlpools in a small boat.
I've been wearing these pants for about three months now and can confidently say these are now the most comfortable pants I've ever worn, period! One thing I like most about them is that they're made with an "Active Fit" which means they fit a little closer to the body for a slimmer look. This might seem restrictive, but the stretchy fabric and articulated knees completely squash this issue. They are simply a joy to wear and move right along with me whether I'm walking, scrambling up a steep bank, or squatting down low to take a self-timer shot with a largemouth bass. I also really like that the ankle holes are wide enough to fit right over my hiking boots, but not too wide where they swoosh around while walking.
The pant is extremely breathable, drys fast when wet, the multi directional stretch makes for a very comfortable pant to wear when hunting. During the spring turkey season temperatures climbed to almost 80 degrees and I never felt that the guide pro pants caused me to over heat in anyway. Any moisture I encountered was kept away from my body and dried out very quickly which kept me comfortable. The pockets on the pants can be opened and closed with zippers which means that you can access anything in those pockets quietly.

What experts didn't like

The only complaint users seemed to have about these pants is that they are not silent enough and rustle a little when you walk.
The material that the pant is made of nylon and spandex which makes the pant relatively loud when brush hits against it or when you are walking. Velcro on butt pockets. Separating velcro can be loud which hinders the pants ability to maintain stealth compared to other apparel designed specifically with hunting in mind.
