The Dremel Versa works well in its niche. The tool feels strong and sure, and the quality is what we have come to expect from Dremel. The attachments spin on securely and the splash guard does offer some assistance in preventing a radiating mess, but I would still use protection if using chemicals. The hook and loop pad connection works well at keeping the pads firmly attached to the pad attachment.

I love that I can charge the battery and just start cleaning. So often, tools have too many parts that require massive storage usage and time to put together. The Dremel Versa is small and compact, but very powerful.

Where the Versa really shines is in its versatility (Versa, versatility... I think they're onto something here). Switching between heads was very easy. All the pads have a Velcro back that sticks right on and peels right off. And even though the head spins quite quickly, not once did we witness the pad coming off on its own.

What reviewers didn't like

The replacement pads and run 10 dollars a piece which seems really steep to me. The replacement brush attachment runs the same, but it seems more justified given the longevity of the brush. This concern makes the tool difficult to justify price wise when you look at long-term usage costs. Additionally, I would have liked to see a bag included for easy storage.

Not as powerful as we'd like. Exerting even moderate pressure on it while cleaning will trigger the auto-shutdown before the motor overheats.
