The grill heats up pretty quickly and is now ready to use. Since it's nonstick, you don't need to add any oil or butter (unless it's for additional flavor or crispiness).
This model is very user-friendly as it has a clear LCD display to help you gauge the cooking temperature more accurately. The same dial can also be used to adjust the timer, and set the cooking mode.
The Cuisinart definitely makes a compelling elevator pitch, performing alternately as a full griddle, full grill, combination half griddle/half grill, contact grill, and panini press.
Talk about versatility! You can make delicious Panini’s, pancakes, bacon, and so much more with this one handy appliance. The temperature on this appliance can be adjusted from 175 degrees to 450 degrees via the easy to use temperature control knob.
Works well and does exactly what it is supposed to!
Because the plates are coated with a nonstick material, they’re easy to clean. As one person has observed, it “cleans beautifully with soap and a dishcloth.”

What reviewers didn't like
The only issue is it has a single dial for both plates, and the timer has been known to be a little unreliable.
And for some reason we still haven’t determined, it shut off partway through our bacon’s cooking time, leaving the rashers flabby and sad.
Some customers said that they wished it drained better
I bought this a little under one year ago, and it was the Cuisinart Elite Griddler. It worked great for a few months, then the hinge lever stopped working so it can not be used as a griddle because it won't open flat any more. Cuisinart requires you to pay to ship it back and pay a small amount for a replacement. Not a good policy for something that should work in the first place. Would not purchase again. Reviews on Cuisinart site are selected for them through a third party so it is not possible to review the product there.
Also, there is no auto shut-off function. You’ll have to turn the unit manually. That said, this appliance is not a set-and-forget cooking tool
