Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

Spacious six-quart insert. Dial control is very easy to use. Lid latches onto insert for easy transport. Owner's manual includes 10 recipes. Excellent customer service.
Crock-Pot keeps the cooking aspect simple with the Cook & Carry Digital Slow Cooker, and usability tweaks like a locking lid and a thermometer vent add some bonus convenience.
-
It costs more and lacks a heat probe and on-off alarm.
Locking lid with gasket, programmable timer, large capacity, stainless steel finish, and modern appearance
For the price range and size capacity, you can't beat the Crock-Pot Cook And Carry Programmable slow cooker. It meets the needs of basic users, but also has some extra features that make it more convenient (namely the digital timer). The pricing beats out the cost of other similar brands with similar features. Simple, sleek design without being too bulky means it'll fit in and compliment most kitchens easily. No wonder it's my #1 pick for slow cookers here on Food For Net!
-
Digital controls for timer and temparature. Can cook up to 7 people
The countdown timer lets you know exactly how much time is left, and once your food is done cooking, it'll switch to a keep-warm setting. Thanks to a locking lid, liquids remain tightly sealed inside the cooker and don't end up on your countertop. Plus, handles make it easy to transport to and from potlucks or even between the kitchen and dining table.

What reviewers didn't like

Did a poor job cooking beef stew. No timed cooking. No signal light to indicate cooking. Handle on top is small and tough to hold. Glass lid steams up, making it difficult to see inside during cooking. Keep warm setting has to be manually selected after cooking. Settings can be difficult to read on controls.
It kept food warm while it was unplugged, but it was close enough to the food-safety red zone that you'll still want to keep tabs via a separate thermometer.
-
It does cook for 20 hours, compared with the Set & Forget’s 14, and looks more up-to-date (because it is); we like its handles and locking mechanism a little better, too.
Might cook too hot on low setting
Keep Warm setting is high enough to continue cooking food.
