From The Manufacturer

This innovative curler draws hair into a specially-designed chamber where it perfectly heats hair to create stunning curls and waves every time. The digital temperature display offers easily adjustable temperature settings and a selection of preset temperatures for each hair texture to avoid unnecessary heat damage. The CHI Air Spin n Curl Ceramic Rotating Curler uses CHI ceramic heat technology, which produces far infrared heat while negative ions condition hair for shinier, healthier-looking and more beautiful curls. Designed with tangle protection to create a perfect curl, the CHI Air Spin n Curl Rotating Curler makes curling hair easier than ever before.

Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

Heat level is easy to adjust to the desired setting; a digital display indicates the exact temperature. Not very heavy, so it's easy to maneuver. Can curl hair in two directions.
Your hair can’t actually get “stuck” or snagged in the barrel (believe me, I’ve tried). If you insert a section of hair that’s too thick or tangled, the wand automatically senses an issue, stops curling, and beeps to let you know to remove that ish ASAP. Basically, this iron was designed for someone with absolutely no skills or confidence in their hairstyling abilities. Not sure how long to hold a curl? Doesn’t matter—the wand beeps when it’s time to release your hair (although you can totally remove your hair at any time—it’s not locked in or anything).
In addition to beautiful curls, Chi Spin n' Curl uses ceramic heat to reduce frizz and static, add shine, with minimal heat damage. Ceramic heat technology produces far-infrared heat while the conditioning benefits of negative ions result in shinier, healthier hair.
Another thing we love is that it’s almost impossible to burn yourself with it. The outer shell only gets warm at best. Even if you hold the device close to the scalp, you don’t have to worry about touching the hot iron inside the chamber.

What reviewers didn't like

Mastering it takes a bit of time and practice for novice users. Somewhat awkward for styling shorter hair. Placing too much hair in the chamber at one time can result in tangles.
It doesn’t give me a ton of volume on top. The chamber is a bit too thick and clunky to get super close to my roots the way a traditional iron can, so for curls around my crown, I’ll sometimes need to top off a few strands with my Hot Tools iron.
Only one barrel/curl size. Hard to reach the hair at your root to curl. Awkward to reach back pieces
Round shape can be hard to store. Difficult to use on shorter hair.
