From The Manufacturer

Vitamin C is a powerful skincare ingredient that has been proven to provide highly effective antioxidant protection against environmental damage along with visible improvement in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and uneven skin tone. A vitamin C serum is an important anti-aging skincare step that helps neutralize the free radicals that may lead to signs of premature skin aging, in addition to enhancing the skin’s radiance and healthy-looking appearance. CeraVe Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum features 10% pure vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) for antioxidant benefits while helping to visibly brighten the complexion and promote more even skin tone. This potent yet gentle lightweight vitamin C serum is also formulated with three essential ceramides , moisturizing hyaluronic acid and soothing vitamin B5 to help improve texture, restore the skin’s protective barrier and enhance hydration for soft, radiant, healthy-looking skin. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, this vitamin C serum also comes in protective packaging that helps prevent oxidation and maintain product performance.

Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

The 30 ml tube of serum contains the purest form of vitamin C: l-ascorbic acid, which visibly illuminates the skin and protects it from damage. All CeraVe products are developed with dermatologists to provide the best formula for the skin.
Of course, the main selling point here is the 10% Vitamin C (ascorbic acid). Vitamin C is available in a variety of forms, but none are known to absorb as effectively as L-ascorbic acid, the purest form of Vitamin C.

What reviewers didn't like

But sadly, there’s one downside. This serum contains more denatured alcohol than the ceramides in the formula. Alcohol denat. can trigger skin irritation or dryness and tends to be potentially problematic for skin with long-term use.
