The rack itself was very well made. We knew this would last a long time with the stunning quality it is made from. The added legs on the bottom of the rack is ideal! I can use the rack in the oven, on the grill or even in a smoker and I know that my food won’t fall and touch the cooking elements!
The set comes with a corer tool to make prep easy. I sliced off the top of the peppers and then used the tool to clean them out and was impressed with how quickly and effectively it worked. My husband even commented on how fast it was! The rack itself is super sturdy – the legs snap into place so it won’t collapse unless you want it to. This made it easy to transport the rack from the kitchen to the grill.
As the Grill rack goes, it is a pretty neat concept if you like to grill peppers often. It is a stainless steel rack that fits up to 24 peppers on it. It is equipped with fold able legs so that it doesn't burn the peppers while on the grill.
Comes with a stainless steel pepper corer with a black plastic handle, which can be used to cut off the tops and remove the insides of peppers. The rack is designed to hold peppers the right height above the grill to avoid burning.
Ultimately, the rack was a handy tool for the peppers. We’ll try again with chicken and see how that goes. For me, the best part was the pepper corer. We will keep that handy since we loved our stuffed bacon-wrapped jalapenos that were tasty and extremely easy!
What reviewers didn't like
When I first pulled the grill pan out, it had no instructions as to how to use it, what size peppers to use, clean up instructions, etc. That was a little frustrating as I had gone to the store and purchased a few sizes of peppers to try out.
It took me a few tries to position the rack so that the permanent top rack of our grill didn’t hit them and knock them over. Also, I’m pretty sure I had a defected rack since the snap-in legs on mine didn’t both snap. The right one kept unsnapping and falling.
