What reviewers liked
Superb autofocusing, including a Servo Al mode that can track a subject as it moves across the scene.
Nearly identical-looking to its predecessor, it receives substantial upgrades under the hood, including: a higher-resolution sensor with Dual Pixel autofocus, 4K video capture, an upgraded AF system, a touchscreen, improved weather-sealing, built-in Wi-Fi/NFC, an interval timer and GPS.
The hump where you’ll find the optical viewfinder is now larger to accommodate the Wi-Fi and GPS unit, and the grip is also a touch deeper to make it feel even more secure in the hand.
Very high-quality 30.4MP stills, Dual Pixel AF is a game changer for video.
What reviewers didn't like
Expensive. Some users complained that they had difficulty getting a sharp viewfinder image.
Frame rate isn’t particularly high.
The users who might want to stay away are video professionals – for video production, we think there are better, possibly even cheaper options.
