With the perforated design, you can’t view the food while you’re cooking it. Even though this is dishwasher safe, it is rather large and won’t fit in most dishwashers.
Some customers complain of gathering steam inside while frying.
There is one potential drawback. If your frying pan is less than 12 inches in diameter, you’ll need to prop the screen on something. Otherwise, it will tip the pan over. This can be a hassle since it’s impossible to hold onto the screen and cook at the same time.
It is however not to be dish washed, you will need to hand wash it and dry immediately.
