One thing we really like is the sliding seat, which even gives you the option of using this like a rowing machine to get a great aerobic workout.

A nice change in this model is the lat tower and angled bar, which will allow you to get strong muscular back in no time.
- Healthy Home Lifting
One of the things that we really like about the Bowflex Blaze Home Gym is the awesome power rod technology it comes with. We like the power rods because they can provide you with up to 210 pounds of resistance, plus you can upgrade to 310 or even 410 pounds of resistance if you choose.
- Fit & Me
From the cushions and metal frame, the machine represents strong durable high-quality material. This is double insurance against the injuries that one may get from carelessly welded home gym equipment’s.
- Easy Stay Fit
The tension on the muscle is built during the exercise. Which is what makes this a great workout solution for people who suffer from joint pain, or that are recovering from injury.
- Fitness Fixed Gear

At a first glance, the product seemed a bit too modest for its price. But after acquiring it, it has provided more than expected. With 60+exercises, we did not get bored of trying this machine out.
- Get Training Advice

The Bowflex Blaze Home Gym not only provides a wide range of options for your home workout but it is compact and foldable. In case of emergencies, users can store their Bowflex Blaze Home Gym out of the way.
- Recumbent Bikely
Another noteworthy feature is the sliding seat. The sliding seat allows you to use the home gym as a rowing machine. The seat can slide back and forward which emulates a rowing experience.

- Weightloss Triumph
What experts didn't like
On the higher end of the price scale, plus you have to pay even more if you want to upgrade the 210 lbs. of resistance it provides.
- BestReviews
While the Bowflex Blaze Home Gym is a great product, you will need to spend money to keep it that way. Over time the Resistance Rod® system is going to need to be replaced.
- Top Fitness Magazine
One thing I will note, though, is that the resistance rods do take a little getting used to. As I discussed further above, elastic resistance has a different feeling than regular weighted setups.
- Home Gymr
The 210 lb. max user weight is adequate, but certainly does not support all users.
- Fit Rated
With the 210 lbs of resistance and instruction a manual, one can either follow Bowflex’s pre-made workout, or easily design their own workout to fit their goals.
- Bar Bend
October 31, 2017 | Full review
Another drawback of this home gym, as is often the case with these machines, is that you won’t be able to go through your workouts smoothly and efficiently. You will need to keep stopping to adjust the resistance for each exercise, which can get a little bit annoying after a while.
- Exercise Review Site
Bars tend to lose some of their tension if not strapped up in between workouts
- USA Home Gym
Taller users find it a bit uncomfortable to use. The height of it should be a bit more.
- Fit Body Buzz
June 11, 2018 | Full review
Perhaps the most important issue that could affect the most users is the backstrap on this system. Some users have said the this strap can dig into the skin during workouts, causing pain.
- Fitness Shandy
January 4, 2014 | Full review
One interesting thing users have reported is that the resistance generated by the Power Rods actually changes with the ambient temperature of the room. The resistance they create seems to soften up at higher temperatures.
- Stuffoholics
April 1, 2019 | Full review
A turnoff for some people might be that there isn’t anything directly for your abs on these models but they will still get worked from the other exercises plus there are plenty of bodyweight exercises you can do.
- Healthy Home Lifting
We do not like how it will cost you a fair amount of money to upgrade the resistance from 210 to 310 or 410 pounds. The machine itself already costs quite a bit, so spending even more money after the initial purchase is not exactly ideal.
- Fit & Me
The setup process can be hectic because you have to go through the long manual. It becomes worse when you make a mistake which requires readjustment of the machine. It could take a lot of time.
- Easy Stay Fit
First of all, it's price. Even when we consider all that we get with this home gym, there is still a lot of money to say goodbye too. Not everyone can afford it.
- Fitness Fixed Gear
December 17, 2018 | Full review
Another disadvantage is the fact that it does not provide lifetime protection. People are required to buy, at an additional price, warranty years, which might be explainable with its small price.
- Get Training Advice
Well, there are no complaints that any of the power rods broke but they do lose their elasticity or resistance effect over time.
- How To Build That Body
Most owners of the Blaze agree that the rods lose resistance over the years, they need to be replaced or added to.
- X Boom Fitness
Unsurprisingly, the Bowflex Blaze is a huge gym that will consume quite much space in your home.
- Cyan Fitness
Taller users may find it difficult to work out on this machine.
- Aim Workout
If you have been working out for a year or so, the amount of weight (210 Bowflex pounds) may not be sufficient for you to do proper workout. In order to have enough weight to push your muscles, you may have to pay extra money to upgrade the machine.
- Recumbent Bikely
Some people might find it a bit difficult to assemble. Although, the assembly manual does provide detailed instructions and pictures.
- Home Fitness Journey
It has some size to it so it will consume up some room in your front room. For a top notch machine, they could have made the resistance 310 lbs or even 410 lbs rather than only 210
- Top Cool Stuff
The only real complaints about this gym are that it is tall— causing space issues— and that it does not seem to provide as great a workout for your legs as it provides for all other areas of your body.
- Weightloss Triumph
