Expert Reviews

What reviewers liked

The motor is pretty powerful meaning you will be able to cut through any wood without worrying about kickback, the sharpness of the blade, or the amount of RPM.
Bosch seems to have designed the GTS1031 with two things in mind: portability and power. Portability, because all of the accessories store right on-board, and they do so securely, so they won’t fall out, even if the saw is bumped and tossed around – as jobsite saws tend to be.
TOUGH: Durable and unique all-steel base allows this portable table saw to take on the hardest
The whole unit is built around an all-steel base which makes more durable.
The thing that makes the Bosch GTS1031 so great in my opinion is it’s compact design with all the features you expect from a quality table saw.
It comes equipped with Bosch’s Smart Guard System modular blade guard to allow for superior control over the material during the whole duration of the cut. The Smart Guard System can be attached in easily, and vice versa.
Despite being light and easy to carry, that doesn’t mean that Bosch have skimped in terms of durability. The product is designed with a unique all-steel base that can more than handle the day to day abuse that a product of this kind would receive on site.

What reviewers didn't like

As far as the performance goes, it does its job quite well. You will stumble upon a few nuisances, but that’s the case with almost any heavy-duty tool. As soon as you adjust and fine-tune it to your personal preferences, you shouldn’t have any major issues whatsoever.
A little pricey
I have noticed that some users complain about the lever being too stiff to operate.
If I had one complaint it would be the size of the expanded table. The saw can make a maximum rip of 18″ which can be a tad limiting with sheet goods. I’d love to see a modification to the expanding table for 24″ wide rips.
The Bosch GTS1031 10-Inch Portable Jobsite Table Saw isn’t without flaws. While maintaining a compact and lightweight body, Bosch opted to shave weight by putting in plastic parts; namely, the push stick clip and retaining nut for the saws wrenches. One should keep in mind that plastic parts are susceptible to breakage.
Because of the cheaper price of this table saw, you’re going to be missing out in terms of accuracy. Much like other table saws of this kind, the gauge is a little sloppy and inaccurate, meaning you might not be able to get the level of cut you’re looking for.
