Has very minimal carbohydrates and fats. It has so little of either in fact, that it might be one of the purest protein products we’ve ever seen. Breaking down its macronutrient ratios by protein/carbohydrates/fats gives us about a 86/10/4 ratio. So if you’re looking for a whey protein supplement that comes with the barest minimum of carbohydrates and fats, then Bluebonnet Whey Protein Isolate seems to fit the bill.
Provides fast acting delivery of amino acids which are made readily available to the body for use. This product is made from the highest quality grass-fed whey with no artificial additives.
The whey here is sourced from cows that are treated humanely, and haven’t been given any antibiotics, or recombinant bovine growth hormone/bovine somatotropin (BST). This is really an all natural whey isolate that has the highest biological value on the market, meaning it contains all the essential amino acids in sufficient proportions to stimulate lean body mass development. Micro filtered to have a high purity level, the only ingredients in this powder are un-denatured whey protein isolate.
Natural protein powders have very little ingredients. This is one of the things I loved about Bluebonnets Whey Protein Isolate. Bluebonnet Whey Protein Isolate is a very good Natural protein powder. For those of you looking to get your diet as clean as possible then this is a great place to start.
What reviewers didn't like
Bluebonnet Whey Protein Isolates are still priced at a significant premium. Bluebonnet Whey Protein Isolate’s price is more comparable to the premium vegan protein products out there. However, keep in mind that vegan protein is quite a specialized product while whey protein isolates are not.
The one thing is that it is a bit on the pricey side. I believe I paid around $1.05 per serving, which is about $0.20-0.25 more than you would typically see from a protein powder.
