The Black and Decker BDEJS600C will not cause you any issues out of the box, and it certainly won’t strain your arm during extended use. It’s lightweight at only 4.6 pounds, which is quite impressive.
Running at up to 3,000 SPM variable speeds and on a 5 amp motor, this awesome and affordable jig saw is able to do 45 degree bevel cuts.
It is built-in dust blower.

In the terms of power, this model has a 5 amp electric motor capable of providing up to 3.000 SPM, which is more than enough. Adjusting the orbit of the saw has 4 settings and this is another, unique feature.
It accepts both T and U-shank blades.
This saw features a 5.0 amp motor, hitting the exact power needed for professionals. A key point of good budget picks is that they do enough and no more, saving you money but giving you acceptable performance.
Tthe tool-less blade changing mechanism worked great, with a clamp and an easy spring-loaded lever to pull open. It was also the only model that was compatible with both T-shank and U-shank blades, meaning you can use whichever ones you have lying around.
Compatible with U and T shank blades. Also, the blade changing procedure does not involve any tools!
I really like the 5.0 amp motor in this jigsaw because it allows you to get a perfect balance between cutting power and control for small projects. The 3000 spm speed is just right for cutting through thick plywood or metal if you need it to. When you cut through ordinary construction wood at this amperage, it feels incredibly smooth and is still easy to control.
Packed up by a 5 Ampere motor, the jigsaw’s speed ranges from 0 to 3000 SPM which helps it to give a power-packed performance. It also has a curve control technology that lets you choose from the four customized setting so as to help with you with tricky jobs.

Its compatibility with U-shank and T-shank blades means that this is one of the more versatile jigsaws.
It is an excellent jigsaw for small scale to medium scale applications.
The blades change without a key so you can easily switch between blades for the different tasks in the workshop.

What reviewers didn't like

Lack some of the bells and whistles of the Bosch.
The motor is loud.
The quick-release blade feature doesn’t “click” into place, so it’s difficult to tell when the blade is locked in.
The advertised Bare tool only comes with one blade.
The equipment is a bit pricey, maybe due to the advanced features.
The trigger is super sensitive that even slightest touch will start the blade moving.
The cord feels pretty cheap on this model as well. It’s not going to fall apart although we would hesitate to call it durable. If you have a habit of picking up corded tools by their cords, you will want to break that habit before buying the BDEJS600C.
Sadly, it only has 2 adjustments for the shoe, at only 25 degrees or 45 degrees.
Unfortunately, it just doesn’t make the cut (literally). The 5 amp motor provides speeds of up to 3000 strokes per minute which sounds great on paper, but in application, it just doesn’t perform. The cuts were rough and required lots of sanding to rectify.
Does not work well with thick hardwood.
Lacks some of the bells and whistles of the Bosch.
Not as good at straight cuts as curves.
Noisy – This jigsaw is a little bit noisier than a regular jigsaw. If you can’t stand the noise, make sure to get earplugs on.
Bare tool advertised does not come with just 1 blade so make provision for this rather than getting caught short.
The power cable is short.
The blade angles forward making it difficult to make straight cuts.
It is noticeably noisier than other saws on this list. Also, the power cord, which is seven feet long, may not be long enough for all users, so you will possibly need to use an extension cord.
First off, it is noisy – nearly as loud as a shop vac, according to many users. Secondly, its variable speed setting is only controlled by the trigger; there is no adjustment dial to help ensure a constant speed.
The base angle of this jigsaw is too rigid. I’d say it is “crude” at best, which means that you cannot exert a lot of pressure on areas that you want to.
It is not cordless.
The tool made a lot of noises while cutting. This really distracted me and ruined my concentration while working.
The device can shift to higher speeds that are not the ones you set.
Take note that the Black + Decker BDEJS600C is a corded model, meaning you’re restricted to using a power outlet of 120V.
It lacks LEDs and laser guide technology.
Some customers were not impressed the clamp system for blades since it makes it a little more challenging to get a straight cut.
It doesn’t come with an LED light, which is a bit surprising given that it belongs to the premium category of jigsaws.
