A basic model with a straight-forward design that comes at a mid-range price. On/off switch is easy to use.
Excellent, even grounds, Highly versatile, Relatively quiet, Build-quality is high,Longevity
Its smaller size is better for overall storage. The machine is quiet and reduces heat well. Dual electric and gear speed reducer helps to cut down on jamming. Baratza’s line of grinders are generally very well suited for all purpose use, but when taking the cost into consideration, espresso grinding is particularly impressive on this unit. Baratza also has an excellent reputation for replacing parts.
The Baratza Encore has a rather basic calibration system; almost like that of commercial grinders. It’s one of the only grinders in its price range that can be adjusted which is an especially useful feature if you are a picky user.

What reviewers didn't like

It grinds beans slowly. It also lacks any extra features such as a timer, screen or scale
-
The dosing unit is difficult to use, and the motor is noisy
The grinding process is pretty slow
Compared to Baratza’s Virtuoso, the overall grind range is more limited. The machine can produce a bit of static.
There aren’t any “convenience” features such as dose controls or a high precision timer, which isn’t a surprise since the Encore is meant for beginners. It also makes a bit of a mess when the basket is removed because of static electricity building up.
Hopper size leaves something to be desired Minimal functionality that might disappoint
This model has 40 clear adjustments on the base so you can easily tweak and repeat your grind choice. However, as Baratza’s base model the Encore only has an on/off switch, so it doesn’t allow for a timed grind and it also doesn’t include a built in scale.
Does not have the same advanced features that individuals may be looking for. Does not have a timer for consistent measuring or grinding
Does not come with many options, Low run-time, Not a small, compact machine
