Expert Reviews

What experts liked

The sling isn't difficult to wrap, is soft and lacks complicated straps and buckles.
Safely secures baby to your chest without any worry about straps or buckles loosening
It doesn’t require wrapping a few layers around your body, so it doesn’t make you sweaty. For warmer months or a hot climate it’s a better choice than a traditional wrap.
K’tan fans love the soft fabric, ease of use and affordable price.
The K'tan is the easiest wrap to use in this review, primarily because it isn't a standard wrap. While traditional wraps are long swaths of fabric, the K'tan is two rings of fabric joined with a loop.
The double loop design is patented and unique to the Baby K’tan carrier. This means there is no wrapping involved or excess fabric, which is great for mums with little time on their hands who just want to throw a carrier on and go.
The unique double loop and sash design makes wearing easy, no struggling with a longer wrap

What experts didn't like

The fabric can get too warm for some parents liking, sizing and runs small
K’Tan sizing goes by your dress/jacket size, so if you plan to share, your partner probably has to buy a second carrier
One-size does not always fit all – you might be need to purchase another one for your partner
he biggest complaint: sizing. Because it doesn’t tie on, but rather must be bought by size, many parents were frustrated at trying to get the right fit with their K’tan.
The K'tan lacks any kind of padding or internal structure which could make longer trips more difficult. It is also size specific which means you can't adjust it like a traditional wrap and as you change size or baby grows the carrier fit will also change.
Heavy babies aren’t so well-supported, they also sit quite low which could hurt the wearer’s back
Sizes can run a little small, so be sure to choose the larger option if you’re not sure
