July is National Ice Cream Month, and while you should definitely indulge with some of your favorite flavors, don’t forget about your four-legged friends.
PetSmart is sweetening the month by celebrating National Ice Cream Day (typically celebrated on the third Saturday in July) by giving out free, dog-friendly ice cream!
The frozen treats are usually offered as an add-on treat service at Doggie Day Camp and during overnight stays. However, for this deal, any pup who visits a PetSmart store with a PetsHotel facility during normal business hours on July 20 and July 21 can get a four-ounce, complimentary serving of dog-safe ice cream topped with (of course) a dog biscuit.
PetSmart gifted free ice cream for dogs last year as well, and it must have been a success because the company is doing it again!
The offer is valid at locations across North America — but only while supplies last! Your best bet is to head there on July 20 to make sure you don’t miss out.
If you can’t make it to a PetSmart PetsHotel location on that weekend, don’t worry — you can still treat your beloved doggo to some tasty ice cream. Aldi is currently selling Frozen Dog Treats from its Head to Tail brand. Considering one of the available flavors is “cheese & bac’n,” we think this unique dog food treat will be the highlight of your pup’s summer!
Where to Get Free Ice Cream
If you’re also a fan of ice cream (who isn’t?), there are plenty of deals for humans, too.
Nine UNIQLO stores are offering free My/Mo Mochi ice cream from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 21. If you haven’t tried mochi ice cream before, it’s a ball of ice cream frozen inside a sticky rice dumpling shell. My/Mo Mochi ice cream flavors available include s’mores, sweet mango, vanilla blueberry, and ripe strawberry. Just make sure your local location is on the list (in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Boston, Seattle or Chicago) before heading out.
Also on July 21, GODIVA boutiques and cafes nationwide will be offering a buy one, get one 50% off deal on soft serve ice cream and parfaits. These treats regularly cost $5.95 to $7.95, so this sounds like an excellent way to have an inexpensive date. To find your nearest GODIVA boutique or café, just head to GODIVA’s website.
If you’d rather make your own sweet treat, ice cream sandwiches are pretty easy to whip up and can be made in a variety of flavors — no ice cream maker required!
From chocolate chip cookie dough to blueberry pie, here are 10 ice cream sandwiches perfect for National Ice Cream Day and National Ice Cream Month!
