Michaels frequently hosts free events for parents and kids to take advantage of, but this Saturday is all about the teachers. On March 23, Michaels is hosting a very special event for educators that includes refreshments, product demos, the chance to make a Crayola craft to take back to the classroom and, best of all, discounts for teachers. So, make sure you attend, and bring all of your teacher friends, too!

The event takes place from 1 to 3 p.m. at participating Michaels stores. All you’ll need to bring with you is your educator ID to prove you’re a teacher … and your creativity.

Not only is the event free, but it also comes with a chance to save even more money. Teachers have the chance to stock up on items for their classrooms beginning now and ending on the day of the event, March 23. You’ll be able to save 20 percent on your entire purchase (even on items that are on sale!) when you show your valid educator ID at checkout.

Michaels also has plenty of spring-themed crafting events coming up. With Easter just around the corner, the store has opportunities to make bunny tail clay pots, Easter cards and more on the calendar this month. So teachers, be sure to let your students and their parents know how they can take part in some free fun at Michaels this season.

And don’t miss out on the free fun yourself. Because hey — teachers definitely deserve it!
