What is it with kids and slime? There is something about the sticky, goopy stuff that the little ones can’t seem to get enough of, no matter how much mom and dad try to talk them out of it. What parents see as gross, the kids see as totally awesome.
If you’ve been putting off making slime at home because it can be messy, your local Michaels Craft Store has the perfect solution! The national craft store chain will host a Baseball Slime event from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.
This class is part of Michaels’ MAKE Break craft series. A few times a month, Michaels opens its doors to local kids and invites them to make something creative and fun! And, with summer coming soon, the MAKE Break classes are the perfect solution to the “I’m Bored” blues that inevitably pop up!
Signing up for the class is free, but every participant will need to purchase a jar for only $1. The rest of the materials for the baseball-themed project are provided by Michaels — including the slime, the jar and the decorations to give the project the perfect baseball touch. It’s a home run of a project for the kids.
To sign up for Michaels Make Break Baseball Slime event, just head over to Michaels’ official website, find your nearest store location and call for a reservation.
Other upcoming MAKE Break classes from Michaels include:
- May 25: Patriotic Pom Pom Wreath for Memorial Day
- June 1: Fruitabulous Mason Jar
- June 8: Fairy Garden Mushroom
- June 15: Father’s Day Mug
- June 22: Patriotic Birdhouse
- June 29: Firecracker Slime
- July 6: Mini Sand Art Planter
Sounds like you’ve got your kids’ summer sorted! Additional crafting classes will be offered throughout the coming season, so keep your calendar open and get ready for some artsy fun.
