The older I get, the more I enjoy decorating for the holidays the way my grandparents did.
I fill my home with vintage decorations and colors and I even use my grandmother’s Christmas tree and topper. There’s just something about the nostalgia factor that makes the holidays feel even cozier.
If you’re into vintage holiday decor as well, Lowe’s has a great deal on a truly classic piece. This allen + roth vintage white ceramic tree looks straight out of a box of long-forgotten Christmas decorations hiding in my grandparents’ attic.
The ceramic tree is $9.98, stands 12 inches tall and is meant for indoor use on a table, countertop, shelf or mantle. It features battery-operated lights with a see-through star on top. It even includes some snow on the tips of the branches.
If you want something with a bit more detail, for about $10 more, Lowe’s also has a light-up glitter ceramic tree. It includes green glitter for a more classic look, plus painted details like presents, stars and candy canes.
It stands 12.8 inches tall and is also made for indoor use. It is $19.98.
If you really want to make a vintage statement this holiday season, however, you may want to spring for this massive 282-piece vintage Christmas tree decorating kit.
It’s definitely for serious vintage-Christmas fans only as it costs $499. The kit includes ornaments, garland and other deck-the-halls objects in red, gold and green hues. It includes 54 feet of festive red-and-gold beaded garland and 15 yards of classic plaid ribbon to drape across the tree branches.
You’ll also get 166 shatterproof balls and 96 more assorted ornaments, including a vintage truck, nutcrackers and 10 red poinsettias to pop onto the tree. The topper is a retro fabric angel.
You can also head to Home Depot instead, where you can find dozens of vintage Christmas items as well, like this vintage Santa cookie jar for $42.50, or this gold tinsel wreath with candles Christmas tree topper for just $12.
