If you’re anything like me, you want desperately to make the most out of Black Friday deals. The hitch, however, is in navigating what seems like endless messaging about the day (or week, I should say, as many retailers are stretching their discounts to extend beyond the 24-hour period after Thanksgiving). It’s hard to keep track of what’s on sale when and where to find the best discounts.
Enter the Passionate Penny Pincher’s Ultimate Black Friday Cheat Sheet. Laurie Hise, the brains behind Passionate Penny Pincher, has started a shared spreadsheet in order to track Black Friday deals by category. From electronics to tools, holiday items (such as gift wrapping and decorations) to toys and jewelry, if you’re looking to make a purchase within the month of November, you’d be wise to visit her spreadsheet first.
Looking to buy a new Christmas tree stand, for example? True Value’s Black Friday offerings will have one for just $14.99. Need new lights for the tree? ACE Hardware will have 50-count LED tree lights on sale from Nov. 23-28 for just $4.99 (currently selling for $7.49 on Amazon, as a point of comparison).
In the market for a new vacuum? Hise has a whole section dedicated to them. Dollar General will have Dirt Devil Stick Vacs on sale for a wildly low $15.00 from Nov. 24-26, for example.
Dollar General will also be offering 20 percent off iTunes gift cards on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, when you buy two. This means you could walk away with two $50 iTunes gift cards (a $100 value) for just $80.
