If you were planning to make a trip to IKEA this weekend, here’s a great deal for you.

If you spend at least $100, which is easy to do let’s be honest, IKEA will give your family free food at the IKEA restaurant.

Sure, you have to spend money to get the free meal, but if you were planning on visiting IKEA anyway, this is a good tip to have in your back pocket.

Here’s how it works.

  • Purchase your family’s food in the restaurant. You’ll get a coupon with your receipt.
  • Then, once you’ve picked out all of your home decor items, taken them to the register along with your receipt.
  • You’ll get the total amount of your meal deducted from your purchase.

IKEA says this is limited to one restaurant receipt per store discount, so it sounds like you can spend as much as you want on lunch and that amount will be deducted from your purchase price (it’s basically a refund).

In order to take advantage of this deal, you need to sign up for IKEA’s free IKEA Family program, which you can do here. Once you sign up, you’ll get emails about special discounts, sales and other promotions happening at IKEA.

This deal is on Saturday and Sunday at participating IKEA locations.
