Get a free small Slurpee on July 11 at 7-Eleven

It’s the middle of the summer, and 7-Eleven is ready to celebrate a major milestone and the sizzling-hot season with a cool giveaway.

Starting at 11 a.m. local time on July 11 (on 7/11, get it?), participating US 7-Eleven stores will give away a free small Slurpee drink to customers who come by to honor the special day. Featured Slurpee flavors include blueberry lemonade and sugar-free cherry limeade.  There is a limit of one small 7-Eleven Slurpee per customer during the promotion, which runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., naturally.

“7‑Eleven Day has become the busiest day of the year for 7‑Eleven stores as millions of both existing and new customers flock to our stores to celebrate with their favorite frozen drink and other special food deals,” Raj Kapoor, 7‑Eleven senior vice president, said in a press release. “This year we hope to expand the party outside our stores as Slurpee drink-lovers share photos of them and their birthday Slurpee drinks.”

7-Eleven also wants to take the party to social media with its festive free Slurpee cup, which features #TFW (“that feeling when”) and #slurplife hashtags for people to share when they score their free drink. 7-Eleven also has developed some fun Instagram and Snapchat GIFs and digital stickers that include sharks in party hats, oranges in hula skirts and pompom-wielding squirrels dressed as cheerleaders — among others.

Participating stores also will give away exclusive Slurpee stickers that mirror the ones featured on the party cup so customers can show they’re living the #slurplife.

And, if one free 7-Eleven Slurpee isn’t enough to satisfy your sweet tooth, then you should sign up 7Rewards account. Any customer who scans their app, card or enters their phone number on 7-Eleven Day to get their free Slurpee will receive a coupon for a second free Slurpee of any size within the next 30 days.
