After the last mortar board lands and the stage is empty, where do all the graduates go? Out to celebrate! And what better way to celebrate than with a fancy steak dinner?

I can think of a better way: A free fancy steak dinner.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House is offering 2019 graduates a free-of-charge steak dinner now through June 30. Bring in proof that there’s a graduate in your party and they can select a three-course meal from the Seasonal Classics menu.

Choices include mouthwatering fare like a mandarin and prosciutto salad, barbecued shrimp or a 6-ounce steak fillet with shrimp. Sides, including a 1-pound loaded baked potato, are included in the deal. A slice of blueberry-crumb cheesecake finishes off the feast.

And now, the fine print: The free meal for your graduate only happens with four other paid adult meals. So you’ve got to get a party of five going — which shouldn’t be too hard when a steak dinner is the main attraction.

The deal allows for one free graduate meal per table. Proof of graduation is required; be sure to contact the Ruth’s Chris location you’ll visit to ask what they need. (It’s also worth calling to make sure they’re participating in the promotion.)

Mention that you’re doing the graduate deal when you book a table. If you reserve online, you can add “graduation offer” in the special requests box.

Bring some hearty eaters to mark the big achievement. The regular menu at Ruth’s is no joke, jam-packed with juicy meats and seafood, plus eye-catching sides (Lobster mac and cheese or potatoes Lyonnaise, perhaps?) and rich desserts.

One final note: The deal isn’t valid on Father’s Day. If you’ve got all the other conditions in place, Ruth’s Chris reservations are open.
