If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids this weekend, head on over to Michaels for some free crafting time. On Feb. 23 from 1-3 p.m., the retailer will be providing everything your child will need to create colorful, crunchy slime.

Your child will be able to get creative while customizing slime with beads, glitter and more. Everything from the pre-made slime to the beads and glitter will be provided free of charge by Michaels. The event won’t cost you a dime, and there’s no sign-up required. Just make sure you and your child come prepared to have some fun! It doesn’t get easier than that.

In case you aren’t able to make it this weekend, it’s pretty easy to make your very own slime at home. You can find plenty of recipes online, but this one from Unsophisticook only requires four ingredients — one of which is glitter. So, your kids certainly won’t miss out on any fun if you make this with them at home.

And if you like the idea of a free crafting opportunity for your kids, you’ll be happy to know that there will be plenty more where this came from. Stores such as Michaels and Home Depot offer free events for parents and kids to use their hands to make things on a regular basis. So, be sure to check their websites to stay informed about upcoming events that are free of charge and fun for the entire family.

Happy crafting!
