If a trip to Walt Disney World is in your future, you might want to book your vacation right now if you plan on staying at one of their hotels.

Beginning March 21, you will be charged for overnight parking at the resort—which used to be included in the cost of your stay.

Stays booked prior to March 21 will not have the additional charge, even if you stay after that date.

Prices range from $13 to $24, depending on the hotel.

Value Resorts

You’ll be paying $13 per night to park overnight at a Value Resort, which includes Disney’s All-Star resorts and the Art of Animation.

Starting prices for rooms in the value resort range from $110 to $155 per night.

Moderate Hotels

Moderate hotel parking will cost you $19 per night. Hotels in this category include the Caribbean Beach Resort and the The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.

Starting prices for rooms in the moderate hotel range from $203 to $334 per night.

Deluxe Resorts

Lastly, it’ll cost you $24 to park overnight at Disney’s Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts, like the Animal Kingdom Lodge or the Beach Club Resort.

There are a total of 19 hotels that fall in this category, with starting room prices ranging from $332 to $586 per night.

Day Parking Still Free

These extra fees do not apply to anyone visiting a resort hotel during the day but not staying overnight, nor does it affect Disney Vacation Club members staying the night at a Deluxe Villa.

Club members will also not be charged for staying at any Walt Disney World Resort hotel if using vacation points for the stay.

While this change is new for Walt Disney World in Florida, Disneyland in California already charges for overnight parking, with rates at $20 per night per vehicle.

How To Save When You Visit Disney

Walt Disney World also recently raised the prices for visiting the park, but there are still ways to save money on a trip.

First, take advantage of “Value Days,” which is when prices are the lowest. Click here for a list of all the value days for 2018.

Second, look for special hotel packages—like their dining deals—and know that the longer you stay, the lower the per-day ticket price for admission to the parks.

Also check out these other ways you can save money at Walt Disney World, despite the price changes. For instance, you may be able to save on your hotel stay by booking a room at one of the themed hotels during its “value season.”

Another way to save is to purchase gift cards from Sam’s Club.

You can buy a $500 Disney gift card for $484, saving you $16 (which will pay for your overnight parking!). While $16 isn’t a ton of money, you can figure that you’ll be spending a few thousand dollars on a trip to Disney, so if you purchase several gift cards from Sam’s Club, the savings may add up.
