Crispin Pearsecco is giving away a $10,000 pear-shaped engagement ring

If you’re thinking of proposing to the love of your life anytime soon, you’re probably well aware that engagement rings are one of the biggest wedding-associated costs. Even if you don’t fork over some serious cash and go the celebrity engagement ring route, you’re still likely to spend thousands of dollars — all before you even start to plan the wedding.

To help make your special day a bit less expensive, Crispin Pearsecco — an alternative twist to prosecco — is giving away a $10,000 diamond ring for one lucky couple’s upcoming proposal! To honor the pear flavor in their drink, the ring will include either a pear-shaped diamond or a band with pear diamonds.

If you’re planning a proposal and don’t yet have the ring, you can enter to win Crispin’s ring now through Aug. 30. Just submit your love story in 150 words or less and an image that represents your love to Pearposal@CrispinCider.com. The winner will be notified in mid-September.

In your story, make sure to include why you and your significant other are the perfect “pear,” even if it’s just that a pear-shaped diamond is your person’s dream engagement ring shape.

The winner actually gets a bit more than $10,000, as the prize is actually a $1,500 pre-paid gift card and either a ring of up to a $10,000 value or a $10,000 pre-paid gift card. The total approximate retail value is $11,500.

Residents in Alabama, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Vermont and West Virginia are excluded from the contest. You must also be at least 21 years old to enter. If you win, you have 48 hours to claim the prize or it will be forfeited to an alternate winner. To read the full rules, just visit Crispin’s website.
