If you forgot to get your love a gift this Valentine’s Day or want to make the holiday last a little longer, Amtrak is having a sale this weekend that will have you celebrating all through summer as you discover a new destination (or rediscover an old favorite).

The “Amtrak Loves You” sale is hoping you’ll take a trip for two with someone special by offering a buy-one-get-one-free deal on tickets, now through Feb. 17.

The tickets are good for travel between March 9 and Aug. 30, so you won’t be able to take a trip right now, but booking one would still make the perfect gift.

To get the offer, simply head to Amtrak’s website and select your itinerary, then change the number of adults from one to two and select “Find Trains.” Below the ticket price, you will see “Promo Applied” for eligible fares.

The offer is valid for all reserved services, except Auto Train. Seating is limited and seats may not be available on all trains or all times, so you’ll need to be open about when you’d like to leave.

The free ticket holder and full fare-paying passenger must travel together on the same itinerary and have tickets issued together. The offer can’t be combined with any other discount offer.

Once travel has begun, no changes to the itinerary are permitted and a 25% cancellation fee may apply. Fares, routes and schedules are subject to change without notice.

So, where can you go with your BOGO tickets?

How about a trip to the mountains or a long weekend at a cozy bed and breakfast? You could even hit up a big city like New York or Chicago, or simply ride into the biggest city near you that has an Amtrak connection for a day of shopping and enjoying local cuisine and culture.

Happy Valentine’s Day, rail riders!
