If you’re looking to take a trip this spring or early summer, you won’t want to miss the deal Amtrak is having right now.
Now through Feb. 18, when you buy one ticket, you’ll get a second one for free. The deal works on most Amtrak routes during the prime summer travel season, and there are no blackout dates. The tickets will be valid for travel from March 25-July 29, 2019, but you must book your trip before Feb. 18 to get the deal.
The offer works for both one-way and round-trip tickets, but both tickets also must be used at the same time. So no solo vacations here — this is a trip for two.
To get the free ticket, just head to Amtrak’s website, and then select where you want to travel to and the dates. Make sure you select “two adults,” then click “find trains.”
Prices will vary depending on the day of the week you choose, so you may have to try other dates if you’re not liking the price you see. For example, a one-way ticket to Chicago from Detroit on a random Tuesday is $39. But the price goes up to $54 if you’re taking the same route on the Saturday before Easter.
Other travel ideas include Portland to Boston for $29, or Washington, DC, to Orlando for $135.
Will you be taking advantage of this offer and booking a trip for two?
