6 Companies Hiring For The Holidays—Including Work-From-Home Positions

The holidays may seem a long way off, but many businesses are already gearing up for their busy season—and looking to add staff members for the next few months.

You can search sites like Snagajob and Indeed for seasonal jobs, and also look for work with companies like FedEx and UPS that are bound to be busier around the holidays. Here are a few cool seasonal jobs to get your search started.

Amazon

It’s no surprise that Amazon will be busier than usual during the holiday season. To help process the roughly 300 zillion orders Amazon is likely to receive between Black Friday and Christmas Day, the company is hiring work-from-home associates to staff virtual call centers. You have to live in Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin or Virginia. You set your own hours from an available pool.

Seasonal workers will clock an average of 12 hours per week and may be required to work on major holidays, according to Amazon’s website. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, meet certain computing resource requirements, and be able to take any shift Sunday through Saturday from 3:00 a.m. to midnight PST.
