16. Use Rider Switch passes.

With Rider Switch, one adult can wait with a non-rider while family and friends ride. When the riding grown-up returns, they can watch the non-riding kiddo, while the waiting adult gets to go without having to wait in line again.

17. Get up early 30 days before your trip and secure those FastPasses.

FastPass+ allows you to skip the standby lines for select rides, shows and character greetings, and they are free. You can reserve up to three a day, you just have to remember to start grabbing them 30 days (or 60 days for those staying at a Disney resort) before your trip. So set that alarm for 7 a.m. and start checking.

18. Download the My Disney Experience app.

Download this app and keep your plans and FastPasses organized. Take it a step further and screenshot your FastPass+ schedule and set it as your home screen on your phone to save battery.

19. Sign up for more FastPasses the day of your visit.

After you use your third FastPass+ for the day, you are able to make more selections at in-park kiosks or on your phone.

20. Florida residents get a special rate.

You have to show proof of residency, but you can get a 3-day pass for as little as $139.

21. Take advantage of Extra Magic Hours.

Extra Magic Hours are for guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Each day, one of the four Walt Disney World theme parks opens one hour early or stays open up to two hours after regular closing time. When you check in at your hotel, you should receive a schedule detailing when each park offers these Extra Magic Hours, so you can be sure to plan your extra time accordingly.

22. Make Advanced Dining Reservations at park restaurants 180 days in advance.

A few of the hot tables you will want to secure in advance include: Cinderella’s Royal Table and Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom and Via Napoli and Le Cellier Steakhouse at Epcot. So, once again, set that alarm and make some reservations. You won’t be sorry.
