Looking for a fun, free and crafty activity for kids this weekend? Of course you are.

Look no further than Michael’s Mother’s Day card-making workshop, taking place at Michael’s stores this Saturday, May 13 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Kids ages 3 and up can enjoy crafting a beautiful, one-of-a-kind Mother’s Day card for free. You can sign up online or in-store (or try dropping in, though there’s no guarantee the event won’t be sold out). Parents or guardians must remain in the store while the kiddos work their magic, but who doesn’t love a little Michael’s browsing?

Michael’s is also offering a Mother’s Day frame-making class on Saturday from 1-3 p.m. You’ll pay for the cost of the wood frame (the cost isn’t listed), but the rest of the supplies are free. Michael’s staff will even take an Instax photo (similar to a Polaroid) for your child to use in the frame. Presto Mom’s Day gift!

There are other Mother’s Day-themed crafting opportunities at Michael’s throughout the week, from jewelry-making to handprint art. Check out the Michael’s site for more details. Classes are generally two hours and cost between $20-27.
