How, you ask? With the absurd invention that is National (Insert Arbitrary Food) Day. God bless them, every one.
Many of these companies offered free food on these holidays last year, but be sure to check back in to make sure the free food is still happening and that your local location is participating!
June 2: Free Doughnut Day At Krispy Kreme
It’s National Doughnut Day, and you know what that means: free doughnuts EVERYWHERE. Run, don’t walk, to your nearest Krispy Kreme (no seriously, jog there so you won’t feel as badly about eating a doughnut) and snag a free doughnut in the original glazed flavor.
June 2: Free Donut With Coffee Purchase At Dunkin Donuts
Not a fan of Krispy Kreme? Just want to snag a second free donut? No big deal. Slide on over to Dunkin Donuts and get a free donut with any coffee purchase. Though you technically have to spend to save, who doesn’t want a creamy iced coffee to go along with their glazed donut?
June 10: Free Legendary Iced Tea With Purchase At Bojangles
Bojangles will offer a free cup of its Legendary Iced Tea with any purchase at participating restaurants. Participation and size may vary by restaurant, one cup per customer, per purchase, while supplies last. If sweet tea is your fave, this is the freebie for you.
July 11: Free Chicken At Chick-fil-A
Battle the crowds at for some free food at Chick-fil-A in honor of National Cow Day (Eat more chickn!). You can score an entire free meal today, as long as you dress up like a cow. Yep, you read that right. The more inventive you get, the more free food you get. If you just want to wear a cow T-shirt or hat, that’s fine: you’ll still get a free chicken entree. But it seems worth it to really go all out and snag a whole meal.
July 11: Free Slurpees At 7-11
It’s 7-11 day! From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., you can snag a free Slurpee in a rainbow of flavors. Then maybe schedule a dentist appointment for the next day.
September 29: Free Medium Coffee At Peet’s Coffee
It’s National Coffee Day, so caffeinate yourself! Peet’s Coffee offers a free medium cup of joe at all their locations, which is definitely a nicer way to start your morning than shelling out $3.50 or more for your usual latte.
October 31: Free Donut At Krispy Kreme
MORE FREE KRISPY KREME! Yes, it’s true—all you have to do is show up to participating locations in your Halloween costume. Show off your Halloween creativity and score a free donut as a result. That’s going to be a huge yes from me.
November 3: Buy One-Get-One Subs At Subway
On National Sandwich Day you can snag BOGO sub sandwiches and fountain drinks. All you have to do is bring a friend and you can score two sandwiches and two drinks for just over $6. Again, you have to spend to save, but that’s an incredibly good deal anyway.
December 4: Free Cookies At Quiznos
National Cookie Day is even better than Christmas if you ask me, and you can snag a free cookie at Quiznos as long as you buy something else, too. Pick from Chocolate Chunk, Cinnamon Sugar or Oatmeal Raisin and chow down.
December 4: Free Cookie At Insomnia Cookies
You didn’t think that Quiznos was the only place to score free cookies on National Cookie Day, did you? Of course not. Insomnia Cookies (also known as “My Downfall”) is also offering free treats f0r this holiest of days. Choose from any of their flavors: Chocolate Chunk, M&Ms, Sugar, Double Chocolate Chunk, Oatmeal Raisin, White Chocolate Macadamia, Snickerdoodle, Double Chocolate Mint or Peanut Butter Chip.
