Ice cream season is just around the corner!

On Tuesday, May 9 (aka Free Cone Day), you can get a free ice cream cone from Häagen-Dazs between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

You can get:

  • a cup
  • a sugar cone
  • a cake cone

Häagen-Dazs is limiting this deal to one kiddie scoop per guest. People who actually want to buy something are also allowed to bypass the line of people waiting for a freebie!

This year, Free Cone Day is dedicated to honey bees. The ice cream shop says it’s a big fan of the “humble honey bee” because they pollinate more than a third of the world’s crops, including ingredients used in Häagen-Dazs ice cream flavors such as strawberry, rocky road, mango and vanilla.

“We’ll be giving our flying friends some much needed recognition—and we’re inviting our fans to join us,” according to the company’s website.

Though the Häagen-Dazs Loves Honey Bees initiative, the company has donated more than a million dollars to pollinator research and education.

“Most recently, in 2016, we installed 6-1/2 miles of permanent hedgerow (the largest in the U.S.) at our almond supplier’s farm, giving honeybees a year-long home,” according to the company’s website.
